A Ceremonial Tribute - Pechuga is an expression of
mezcal, crafted from ancestral recipes distilling a
third time with fruits, spices, and a suspended piece
of meat – often chicken or turkey breast (pechuga).
Traditionally made with altar offerings of fruits and
flowers from the altar of Día de Muertos, which cele-
brates the Ancestors, it is also prepared for the most
meaningful celebrations – marriages, harvests, and
funerals. Rooted in familial recipes and ritual, Pechu-
ga honors ancestors, nature, and the maguey itself,
uniting spiritual intention and sensory craftsmans-
hip. This ritual process infuses the spirit with rich,
layered aromas and deep symbolic meaning.
Character: A deeply expressive mezcal shaped by tra-
ditional methods, offering a nose rich with ripe fruits,
bright citrus, warm cinnamon and cloves, and layered
notes of cacao, black mole, and plantain. The palate
unfolds with earthy cacao, pumpkin, savory mole, and
gentle baking spices, delivering depth and warmth.
The finish is balanced between sweet and bitter, car-
rying citrusy orange tones with lingering cacao and
subtle nutty accents. Complex yet harmonious, this
mezcal is crafted for thoughtful sipping and culinary
exploration.
